Sending PMs - Sent Folder vs. Outbox

Post by lilsquirt »

Sent a PM to a member yesterday and I went in today to see if he replied. Yeah I know, pretty desperate! :)

I see the PM sitting in my Outbox and nothing in the Sent Folder. The message shows a "sent" on such-n-such time/date, but I presume that if it *was* sent it would show up in my Sent folder and not my Outbox which, like MS Outlook, indicates a pending message. Thanks!

The PM system is different from email systems. A PM stays in the outbox until it's read by one of the recipients. As soon as it's read it's moved to sent items. Until then you are able to edit or delete the message.

So nothing is wrong if a message stays in the outbox, the nice thing is you know it has been read when it's in your sent items box :D
