My updated Cale doll

Post by princess_magpie »

I decided to upgrade on my doll of Cale (the elf from my favorite comic, 'Looking For Group') This doll is six feet tall, and I even gave his hair the big bangs, like the character is supposed to have.

He has the same facial expression as my old doll, because I love it so much. :D

You should check out the Doll Forum toy store. There is a lot of nice "equipment" there that you could outfit Cale with should you feel so inclined.
There have been a ton of posts about the lack of affordable male dolls. Somehow, the idea of making a cloth doll never crossed my mind, that in spite of the number of times I've read about Teddy Babes here.

Cale's expression really is just priceless. By the way what type of material are you using for him, I might try my hand at it since it looks as if I'll not have funds anytime soon for a RSSD Taffy.

I used ordinary sheet material; I used a coat of 'Mod Podge' over him, as a protective glaze. It keeps the material from getting dingy, and it's easier to clean.

I know, I love his expression, too. It's a playful way of pretending that he's excited to see me with my clothes off.
