So I'm in a dilemma. I've had the 60cm Aiko since June, when I knew I'd be away from my wife for 6 months. I wanted a doll small and discreet that I could put in a checked bag, yet could keep me company during the months away. I have not told this to my wife.

Now our separation is coming to an end, in 6 days. I couldn't figure out how to bring it up with the wife, and it's way too late now. I can't see her go into the trash, so I was thinking about selling her (the Aiko, not the wife), but I've been dragging my feet until now to sign up here (although I've been lurking for months, checking out the beautiful pictures everyone's been posting).

She really is the perfect doll. Just glancing over at her gets me excited, and I can't be in the same room when I have to be productive. I can't post on the sale forum yet, and I'm not sure if I could find the right buyer in 6 days anyway. I could go the ebay route, but I'd have to create a new account with no reviews...

What should I do?!?!

Hi edf, welcome to the forum.
IMO you have two choices ( you actually have more, but only two that I like  )

1) Submit 4 more posts (no one-worders please; complimenting someone's doll is always nice) and create a Sales post following this info: viewtopic.php?t=60349
Offer the doll at a price to cover the shipping and whatever you feel is worth the trouble of packing and sending it. It's better then nothing and there's a good chance you'll sell it quick.

2) Give the doll away in a "best .gif" contest. I did that; it was fun.

Not trying to pry but if your wife has ever had any sex toys I see no reason why you should have to get rid of the doll. She is small doesn't take up much space and makes you happy.

Thanks for the advice. Has anyone else been in a similar situation, where you met a significant other or spouse after you've owned a doll for a while? How did you bring it up and how did it turn out? (relationship ended in a storm of hellfire, she pulled out her own doll, she bought you a special edition custom doll on your anniversary, etc).

Knowing my wife, she would not see it as a simple sex toy. She's not really into toys much either, so...

I guess this is more of a general forum question, but Aiko is the only doll I've ever seen myself owning. Can't go bigger with the kids coming out of toddler age soon who would be asking a lot of questions.

Here would be my suggestion.

Grab your dollie, and head over to each of these posts.

Then comment on each one of them. You can do some other things if you like with your dollie while looking them over.

Once that is all done, make the sale thread as Net Wit says. If you plan on selling it quick you are pretty much going to have to give it away. Dolls seem to sit on the site for months from what I have seen.

Keep the doll. It's not about the money with this doll. It's small and easy to store. Sounds to me you'll be sorry if you don't ...

They're small enough that you can just store them till you find a buyer. I'd say just take pics now for selling, then store her somewhere in her box (somewhere your wife won't look like with computer parts or garage tools) and put her up for sale till someone buys.

I have an Aiko 60 and she is just the cutest thing ever.

She is not intimidating in the least. Get a stand for her and take up life drawing painting and sculpting. She makes a great art model. Start collecting resin action figures and other collectables. Buy your wife some gifts too ;) toys you can use together.

If you think for a second that you will be able to sell and not miss her at all by all means do it. You can buy really nice outfits for bjd 60+ dolls on ebay, if you keep her dressed appropriately you should not have an issue.

I definitely missed mine, when she was gone eventually had to buy another one, but not worth getting in trouble with the wife over.

Thanks everyone for the comments, it's appreciated. I decided to part with her and posted on the sales forum. Hopefully one day my wife and I can pick out a doll together.

Sorry to hear that erodollfan. Well hopefully she finds a good home to be adopted into and will be loved.

It's unfortunate, but I hope someone picks her up. Wouldn't want to hear of one being in the trash. I swear by mine, and recommend her all the time. Heck, I'm almost tempted to adopt her myself. I wouldn't mind another one, especially considering the options are different. GLWS, hoping for the best for her.

Sucks to have to let her go, if I had the extra money I would pick her up to add with my others girls.
