newb needs advice

Post by OCTATOK »

Hi there everyone.
I want to take the plunge and buy a starter love doll and am looking for a low price point (so I guess that means small)

https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32592567601.html
I really like the look of this gal but have no experience with aliexpress and have seen her at $990 USD on sale from other vendors. does this purchase look risky to you?

I would not buy that if I were you. That price and that description etc, most likely a scam.

That's a TPE doll, and not silicone, and she's worth triple the price they are asking(~1200usd). Aliexpress is generally not to be trusted. Don't risk it.

I have personally bought 2 dolls from them, one of them being that exact same doll in fact. So I know that they are legit. MSLD are TDF approved. You can find this doll on several other TDF approved sites as well.

But bear in mind that, depending on where you live there might be trouble. Some countries customs do not allow dolls of that size, as they are very childlike. She's cute as a button, but her face is also a little "childish". I think it was Canada, Australia and UK where it had to be 130cm or taller, I think. Hopefully someone who knows this better than me can correct me.

that's actually very concerning. I've been looking for relevant laws but can't seem to find anything and I want to place my order asap. does anyone know how I can find out whether she is legal?

There is a post about customs siezing dolls like that and I think it was Australia. Hit the "all recent posts" link toward the upper left and slog through. I saw it in the last couple of days.

Interesting, I am just up the road.

The topic you want to read thoroughly is here....http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=206&t=79087

BTW this doll if the one you referenced is the WM Riley 100 cm

Image

And as long as you get the big bust option, you will have no problems.

Now the vendor you have mentioned is not TDF accredited. This doll is also availble through many of the listed TDF approved vendors for the same sort of price, with the added assurence that you are getting what you pay for....and the 300 dollar off sale price quoted...well....that means the doll was overpriced by 300 to start with mate. 1000-1100 USD is about par for that model, depending on options and shipping preferences.

There are also tonnes of cheaper copies out there round the 500 USD mark, stay away from these, as quality and non toxicity can not be assured, and you would not want the wang to fall off 8O

Also, Staff would like to remind all posters of wording and terminology used in posts with repsect to Rule 1....http://dollforum.com/tdf_rules.html

TDF appreciates your co-operation with respect to this requirement.

Cheers Anung

Have you considered buying a torso doll? Unless you're a leg man, they offer pretty much the same experience, but at a lower price.

I made inquiry to Australia Border Force awhile back regarding concerns of dolls being confiscated:

This is the reply I received from Australia Border Force on 13December:

Dear Client,

Thank you for your email,

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection restrict the importation of Pornography and Objectionable Material, this includes publications, films, computer games and any other goods that describe, depict, express or otherwise deal with matters of sex, drug misuse or addiction, crime cruelty, violence, terrorist acts or revolting or abhorrent phenomena in such a way that they offend against the standards of morality, decency and propriety generally accepted by reasonable adults.

In strictly limited circumstances, the Director of the Classification Board may grant Permission to Import such items legally. Personal use or entertainment is generally not sufficient grounds for granting permission. There is a guide which details what are 'objectionable goods' and explains the eligibility criteria.

Please see: http://www.classification.gov.au/Compli ... urney.aspx
For more information on the restrictions placed on the importation of objectionable material, please visit the Department of Communications and the Arts’ Australian Classification website.

If you have any questions, please contact the Customs Information line on 131 881 (Outside Australia: +61 2 6264 1111)
