Hi All,

Im from the UK, Ive been considering buying a doll for a while now, Finally got round to ordering one from a company that is on the verfied shops list here tho sadly they failed to deliver the goods and after about 5 months of lies from them i did manage to get a full refund luckily from paypal, So now im thinking of trying to get 1 second hand & see if i have more luck

There are lots of us in the UK and this forum's a great wealth of information.

It might be an idea to tell us what you're looking for in a doll and then members might be able to point you in useful directions. I started with inflatababes and then had the good fortune to stumble of two of the best toy ladies in the world second hand.

It's really important to buy a S/H lady that's been loved in the right way. Dolls have spirit . . . More than that, in fact my personal experience is that being the curator of a doll who one's taken over from someone else who's looked after her lovingly has brought connexions which result in friendships.

Hello and welcome AJ. Sorry to hear you had such a rough time with your purchase. Glad you were able to get a refund. I haven't bought my first yet still looking around, gathering info from experienced doll owners. There are a lot of awesome people on the forum that can be so very helpful. Hope you enjoy the forum

Keep searching and informing TDF so other members might be able to avoid a similar experience with that company.

Hope things go better for you the second time around.

You say you tried to purchase a doll from a vendor that was regarded by "TDF" as a reputable seller and they could not deliver the item after 5 months? I'm sure they "TDF administrator" would like to be aware of this fact.

This thread is the very reason that TDF is great!

Not only is there a fraternity but a sense of humour, even if it's not always as visible as here, and a commercial muscle to manoeuvre whatever part of the supply chain into better production or service to us all. It's great for a forum to be able to achieve that - not all do - and many thanks to

Hey All,

Thanks guys, I have spoken to Netwit regarding the company and sent all relevent information for them to look over and do with as they see fit.

I have been on & off here as a guest for a while now just browsing but always seemed to manage to miss any of the good deals that came along hence why i opted for a verfied vendor in the end, With new dolls costing quite a large amount and having the bad fortune to run into a dodgy company (Just my luck) Im looking at some cheaper second hand ones that are on the forum currently, I figure less time to wait and also less money to risk loosing and allow me to dip my toe into the water of the doll scene so we shall see what happens there.

Nightmare with the doll company. there's some really vicious scammers out there - I'm glad you told us on here about that experience so they'll get removed form here and people can buy in confidence.

I suppose the only bright side is at lest you got your money refunded.

I hope you like it here and wish you more luck with the 2nd hand doll.

I can tell you , buy with confidence, he is awesome , very recommended , he sold me my first and current doll, RD 2 -at a great price as well.
Just saying , check him out and follow his sales.
What sort of doll are you aiming for ? If you don't mind me asking.
