Re: My favourite doll portraits
Life goes on…
And here is something I'd consider a portait in perfection:
This is an official photo from EX Doll, China. No modifications were done to the original image, though this is obviously photo-edited (butterflies). I think, in this case the photo-editing is acceptable as it is a depiction of a fantasy character and the photo is not supposed to be 'forensic' (intended to document characteristics of a certain doll model).
Everything in this picture is (almost) perfect - the high-key lightning, the outfit, the gesture, and the composition. Some more pictures from this awesome set are here.
As usual, the photographer was not disclosed. Which is a pity as I might like to hire him (or her)

Sorry, I don't know Ruby13 faces so well (though I was blown away by a recent video, which featured breasts so soft they rippled).Dollstudio wrote: @ZZZZ: You mean, now there is a (TPE) successor for the exquisite 'cartoon' heads from Ruby 13 silicone)?
You say this is a TPE head? Do you have a link to the product page? I might want to add it to my wish list. Please PM me if it's not something you can share here.

Re: My favourite doll portraits
This post has some of the best artistic pics I have seen and inspires me to do the same.
I have a Canon SX40 HS and a bit of experience as a photographer and hope to be able to share some eye candy when my new girl arrives, thanks again from the land of Oz , the wealth of knowledge here is priceless.
Re: My favourite doll portraits
*nod* I came across that one recently and kinda had similar thoughts - very, very nice presentation.Dollstudio wrote:And here is something I'd consider a portait in perfection:

Re: My favourite doll portraits
that one definitely qualifies, too:
She is a YL Doll YL-148 with ›Leslie‹ head (Jinshan no. 118). This photo comes from a recent promo released by YL.
More pictures with this combination are in our blog: http://eu.dollstudio.org/blog.

Re: My favourite doll portraits
I love taking portrait shots of Kayla, just wish she had moveable eyes.
For now I have to make do with open or closed eyes.
Here's a couple from the recent doll meet. Ill post the full set once ive had time to go through them all.
Click on the images for the high res images, the first is particularly detailed and bang on focus
Cheers
G

Are you sure that the eyes are not movable?
