please welcome Xi, our new 135 cm TPE doll!

Xi's body measurements are 73 cm (breasts) / 51 cm (under bust) / 47 cm (waist) / 72 cm (hips). Weight: approximately 22 kg.

Xi has a hinged neck and can stand on her own feet, without screws poking through the soles of her feet.

Introductory price is $1080 (ex factory, including shipping to the U.S., plus customs/taxes, if applicable) respectively €1420 (for EU customers, including shipping, customs, and taxes).

You know, I would have jumped on these newer dolls if I did not just get my sweetie. The lower weight and for the size and neck design. Then on top of everything else the price is a steal.

Be sure that your condition is a common one. However, one could wait forever and never get a doll at all. My motto, regarding this theme, is get one and want the rest.

Albeit, this new doll company, as far as I can tell, is leading the way.

I don't mean to hijack this thread (I will remove if requested), however I would like clarification on the "standing feet without screws"

During my recent order, It has come to my attention by Jeff at BCD that the standing legs may be slightly misleading:

"I was told today the dolls can stand only 30 minutes to an hour w/o damage.
They also make feet like WM, but two screws."

This is a SIGNIFICANT departure from what I feel was previously advertised (here in TDF and vendors). Dollto still describes D4e as "Chinese TPE doll manufacturer to design a completely hinged skeleton with no gooseneck and unique screw-less standing feet."

The D4e website was recently updated and cleansed of any mention screwless standing feet. There is now a FAQ statement:

"Do not make non-standing dolls stand, or it may badly damage the colloid of their feet."

"There are exterior metal pieces at the bottom of the feet of standing dolls, so there is a risk of scratch of the floor, especially wooden or other soft-texture floor. It is suggested not to make the doll stand with bare feet. Standing with shoes and socks on can maintain the feet of the doll clean and protect the floor."

I ended up canceling the order with BCD since flawless feet are a priority for me.
Do you have any clarification on this? I would love to consider this ex factory doll. I think both D4e and 6Ye (and perhaps DH168) may be the upcomers and trend setters for "2nd generation" TPE dolls. They seem to understand that it's time for structural improvements (ball joints, hinges, resilient skins). Feet definately need some redesign and reinforcement.

@SinsuaLuvr: Generally, there are no dolls with standing capability for extended periods of time and without support structures. There are very, very few exceptions, and these are exotic and usually expensive - or they are mannequins which can stand indefinitly. Of course you can try to go to go beyond the inherent boundaries of current standing dolls, but you always risk damage. Some people do that, and some are lucky for some time, others have to deal with the damags.

All common designs for standing dolls have limitations in regard to standing for extended periods of time. Either the joints wear out, or the skeleton frame starts to bend, or the foot plate starts to poke strough the material. What these standing skeletons are designed for is at best:

pose the doll for a couple of photos and make them stand for a couple of minutes; or
put the doll shortly on the floor, e.g. when carrying into the bathroom.

Dolls without standing capabilities have a very high probability of getting damaged in these two use cases. Dolls with standing capability have a smaller probability of getting damaged in these two use cases. Dolls with standing skeleton and screws poking through the soles of the feet have a higher probability of not getting damaged when making them stand a bit longer than for a couple of minutes, but this design comes with a lot of other annoyances. That's just how it is.

What Doll Forever accomplished was to get rid of the screws poking through the soles of the feet in TPE dolls. With their design of the foot plate they are approximately on par with Sanhui (silicone dolls with a rather soft silicone blend and no special silicone blend in the soles of the feet). Neither Doll Forever dolls nor Sanhui dolls are designed to stand on their own feet for days or even weeks.

My dolls don't typically stand at all (they are sexy couch potatoes).

But even so, some foot reinforcements were needed.

So your experience is; that even the D4e non-standing dolls feet are an improvement over the historical past feet (WM, YL, OR)?

From what we have read, the D4E non standing feet are superior to other TPE dolls with non standing feet.

Yes, definitely. If you accidentally or not knowingly put a Jinshan doll with the standard skeleton down on her feet, you most probably have to deal with a damage (which can be repaired, but is still annoying).

When carrying D4E dolls to the bathroom, you can put her down, carefully and not permanently, but you can at least catch your breath
