Wesly is currently visiting the factory, so it's a bit quiet over at Doll House 168's forum. But he is quite busy inspecting the current production and has advised more changes to the skeleton. The dolls can now "twist by shoulders and thighs", he said. I can't wait to see how this looks in a complete doll as it is a major deviation in TPE dolls skeleton design.

He send us this factory image for skin tones reference. The left one is the Koi head in white color, the right one is the Keade head with honey light color:

Thanks for all the photos. Really beautiful. Question about the heads - is that the same attachment used by WM and OR? Looks like it from the photo. If so, would appropriately sized heads from either of them work? So someone who already had a head - or liked one of the many others to choose from - they could possibly work together?

Thanks for the answer. So they use M16-2.0 metric bolts, which are attached to the body, vs the bolts threaded at both ends. Got it.

And yes on the skin color - it is going to be off depending on which colors. From other threads I've read, that's true even between heads and bodies of the same mfr, since they're adjusting color from time to time. In guess you just try to get close.

This suggests to me that a color grid of all the manufacturers would be great. Has anyone done that? because flash, exposure, White balance, color space, have such a big effect on color, especially skin tones, the only way to do it right is with calibrated set of photos - either each person takes photos of their dolls with the same settings and light meter or all the manufacturers send skin swatches to one person who agrees to post a set of all the colors. Does anyone know if something like this has been done?

Very sorry to hear that the doll is firmer than WM, that will not close the deal for me.
Softness is very imporatant for me.

Have to agree the softness is really nice - of course everyone has their preferences. One advantage of being a little firmer is the durability of the hands and feet. With some dolls, you think you've hardly moved, but you look and her poor hand is bent completely out of shape. Are you able to use harder Shore durometer TPE for hands and feet? That's something RD is doing now - maybe easier with Silicone than TPE?

Also, inside the breasts still softer than the skin, right?

Ha! I am more attracted to the first of the trio Kaede, especially if I could get a wig that is exactly like her pictures. To each his own, eh?

This would be my second lady and I had started looking at 4Woods silicone S+, which are much more expensive.

Hi,

the first shipments have left the factory. Here are some interesting factory images.

When the doll is ready, the doll is cleaned and powdered. They use a hook to do that and say that the neck connector is strong enough to sustain hanging, at least for a limited period of time. Nice detail

They use a white soft blanket for shipping. Yes, in this shipment there are a lot of wigs.

That is the carton the factory ships the doll in. The carton that is sent to the customer is different; I believe the shipping forwarder changes it.
