New dolls by Doll House 168: Kaede, Roi and Yui - 161 cm,TPE

Hi guys,

as some of you know, Dollstudio, Berlin, and Doll House 168, Taiwan, are close friends. Sandro and Wesly share a lot of things they expect from dolls, their manufacturers, the materials used and so on. Sandro moved ahead with dsdolleurope.com, Wesly started dsdoll.com.tw – and I had a pretty tough time reminding them not to completely forget about TPE love dolls. There's no doubt, Doll Sweet makes amazing dolls, but not everybody can or wants to afford these expensive silicone dolls.

The latest result from our partnership with Doll House 168 is a new line of TPE dolls. With this new product line, we will try to address the common shortcomings of current TPE dolls like limited skeleton mobility, weak wrists, chemical smell etc. Another thing we expect from the new supplier is a more rigorous attitude towards quality management and a willingness for quality improvement. More to that later.

Now let's have a look a the new ladies. This is the 161 cm body style with the Kaede head.

Body measurements: 82 x 56 x 85 cm (BxWxH), weight: 33 kg.

This doll has three entries: vaginal (~17 cm), anal (~15 cm) and oral (~13 cm).

A very beautiful sculpture and if these ladies really do address the shortcomings of other TPE manufacturers and at an economic price, are very much to be welcomed.

What we are expecting are enhancements in details, and a better responsiveness in case that problems arise. If someone runs Kaede over with a tank, she will die, like any other doll. So please do not expect wonders.

Some of the differences we have noticed so far: The skeleton is stronger and has better welds than the current TPE dolls. For a visual check of your doll's skeleton try to make her touch her face or neck. Certain very common skeleton designs are limiting the elbow bend angle to approximately 90° (no need to try that with a DS; their skeleton can bend to an angle less than 45°).

Other differences are noticeable when posing the doll; some are visible in the photos I posted, e.g. the capability of kneeling without running into issues with the knees, and to use the hands to support the body without damaging the wrists immediately.

Another difference is the TPE blend used. It's common knowledge that TPE can be a lot of things; some TPE manufacturers add certain additives to their TPE blend to make it softer. There are some downsides introduced by this kind of additives: they leak the more oil the softer the blend gets, and the elongation and tear resistance is reduced. It's very similar with silicone, which can become extremly soft with additives, but will loose it's strength.

Other effects of adding additives are that potentially allergenic substances are introduced into the blend, even if the blend is phthalates free (all major love doll maker's TPE blends are supposed to be phthalates free); also, the more softener is added to the TPE blend, the faster the material might age (at least that's what we were told; since we do not have the means to verify this assumption, please consider this a possibility and not a fact).

Your expertise is very helpful. For a long time I have thought that there is a common source of skeletons if not skeletal components in southern China - and this may well be the reason for the difficulties to adjust to customer requirements.

Are the wrists actually hinged?

Is the underbust measurement on the dollstudio site correct? It mentions 54.5 cm, that'd be quite skinny for a 161 cm doll.

She looks lovely, I like the skin colour. Looking forward to hearing more about these TPE dolls and their improvements!

to answer the questions:

@Angel Phoenix77: Yes, we ship the U.S.; the price for Kaede and her two sisters Yui and Aoi is US$2000, including shipping. Opposed to custers from the EU, we can not provide cosntrolled shipping for customers in the U.S., so customs and taxes are not included in the price of US$2000.

@majorperv: These dolls are not manufactured by WM, and there are differences to the TPE dolls you might be used to. I'll elaborate on this in a later post.

@MoBetterBlues: The underbust measurment of the 161 cm doll is 62 cm.

@haremlover: Wesly replied to this question with the following comment:

Yes, Wrist is indeed can twist, but it's not fixed, usually when I take pictures for this doll, first twist the wrist then bend the elbow,so use the friction resistance of TPE, keeping palms facing up.

Please note that discussions about hinges in doll's hands regularily end up in misunderstandings as the term hinge joints is used in anatomy differently. There is currently no commercial doll I know of that uses hinge joints for the interphalangeal articulations of the hand in the anatomical sense.

Very good vaginal design, it looks like OR:s.
In spite of your statement of less durabilty to softer TPE mix, I want it soft.
Is this mix as soft as WM:s dolls ?

Is the neck boolt compatible with WM ?

Does oral with this doll caues bulging eyes ?
