WM-Doll - Your Exeriences?

Post by Machinist »

I bought my first doll, a TPE a few weeks ago overseas. I bought an entry level, I wasn't sure if it was for me and didn't want to drop into a high end price for something I would regret. WOW! So much fun!

Looking to step up a bit, WMDoll, your honest opinion with this company. I'm about to drop some serious cash. was it worth it, what would you do different? Any complaints?

Thanks for your response.

WM is the official brand most directly associated with the Jinsan factory. Other design outfits have brands that are also made by Jinsan and so are very similar in materials, skeleton, etc. These include OR and YL. I mention this in part so that you can consider a broader range of products (if you're not already set on a specific body and head) and in part because my own doll is an OR 156cm B-cup with a WM head #47. (Most vendors let you mix and match heads and bodies from any brand within the Jinsan lineup.)

I own just the one doll, so I can't do a direct comparison to other brands or types based on personal experience; however, based on what I've read:
  • A comparison of silicone and TPE:
    • As a class, TPE dolls are less expensive than silicone dolls, although there's some overlap in price at the top end of TPE (which Jinsan would be) and the bottom end of silicone (mainly Z-Onedoll).
    • TPE is generally softer than silicone, but silicone is more durable.
    • TPE requires more routine maintenance than silicone.
    • TPE dolls ship with "semi-permanent" makeup, which wears off in a matter of weeks to months. You can re-apply standard makeup (there are lots of threads on this), which will last a few more weeks or months. Silicone dolls' factory makeup tends to be longer-lasting.
    • TPE has a lower melting point than silicone. This makes it possible to include heating elements in silicone dolls, but this feature is rare to non-existent on TPE dolls.
  • Compared to lower-quality TPE dolls, Jinsan products (and others of similar quality) are likely to have fewer blemishes, be more durable, and perhaps be slightly better sculpted.
  • DH168 and Climax Doll are another couple of approved TPE doll vendors that seem to be of similar quality to the Jinsan brands. Doll Forever is another TPE brand that's not approved by TDF, but it is sold by some approved vendors. This puts it in a sort of limbo in terms of TDF approval. All these brands seem to be well-respected, although there are some differences. DH168 was slow to fix a problem with holes in their vaginal canals that could lead to rusting of the skeleton. (This isn't as much of an issue if you use an insert.) Doll Forever has some unique features in the TPE field, like a hinged neck and standing-foot option that doesn't require ugly metal bolts sticking out of the doll's feet.
As I said, my doll is an OR model. The quality is about what I expected based on photos and the comments I read before ordering. Visually, realism is good but not up to the standards of a silicone doll that would cost 3-4 times as much, at least judging by photos of those more expensive models. One area of disappointment for me has been odor -- when first unboxed, my doll had a strong odor. That odor isn't really all that unpleasant, but it was strong, and slightly irritating to my nasal passages, which made it impossible for me to sleep with the doll (in the literal sense). Even now, two months later, the odor is strong enough to prevent falling asleep with the doll nearby, but the odor is fading.

I'd been warned about the doll's delicate nature, and it's true. I got one with the standing-feet option, but in moving her around, I created a small tear on one heel. The soles of her feet have also become quite dirty, and the dirt has been resistant to cleaning. I recommend using socks -- but those metal bolts can ruin socks pretty quickly. (A forum member called MannequinFan sells plastic plugs intended to reduce this damage, but I don't have a set, so I can't comment on their effectiveness.) So far I've not experienced any "finger pokes," in which the cheap wires inside the doll's fingers work loose and poke through the fingers. This seems to be a common complaint of TPE doll owners.

My doll, like most, came with an ultra-cheap wig that sheds a lot. Many forum members buy several wigs and/or higher-quality wigs.

Welcome aboard, Machinist!

In case you're unaware, WM sells dolls but also has vendors that sell its products, too. You may want to shop around for the best deal.

Welcome to the forum, Machinist.

WM dolls are some of the most popular TPE dolls around. A doll like this pretty much changes your life. Most people who buy them are happy with them. And if you already decided that dolls are for you, then I would certainly recommend a WM doll. I have two of them myself which I don't regret buying.

If you have more questions about TPE dolls, don't be afraid to ask. There are no stupid questions.

Symmes,
Well said and although off topic, virgin olive oil should help clean her feet.
Give it a shot.

I found my way to this forum from a link on another vendor's website and I decided I would buy a doll for Black Friday. I had a month to go I read the forums every day. It became clear that 2 vendors on here were head and shoulders above the rest in customer service. I had been talking to Jeff through PMs on this forum. From day 1 he was the most helpful salesperson ever. His prices were the best I had seen but even if they weren't, I would have bought from Jeff anyway because of the service he gave.

I'm only dreaming right? You just ordered her. I thought this was supposed to be one of those long slow waits. Now here today is this lovely face. I can't thank you enough. My dreams are never this fufilling.I've been happy and relaxed, knowing she would someday exist. Now that I see her I am jubilant. With respect and admiration for what you do so well
Thanks! BCD has been amazing! As close to bespoke as you're going to get with TPE, it's almost like getting prescription haha! Thorough, sensitive to your needs and limitations, friendly and thoughtful. Flashy websites are no match for a Jeff's one on one service.

...I couldn't be more happier with the two people who know about her and the love that Jeff, Babel99 and the whole Doll Forum community has been.

It was recommended to me to use Arm+Hammer backing soda toothpaste to clean stubborn spots. I tried it,it works.

Thanks for your responses,

I got what I paid for, I already have experienced finger poke-through, makeup wearing off, wig shedding.

I am most definitely buying another doll, just looking into the vendors and quality standards. WM-Doll looked like quality, that's why I asked.

@symmes

Thanks for that post, very informative. Still new to the Doll world here, anything I can learn is a plus.

I don't have a head or body I have my heart set on yet, but there is a look I am going for. 5'4" C-Cup, Japanese/Korean features.

You almost HAVE to shop overseas to get the Asian look you are looking for, Western makers just don't seem to get it right.

The sub-$4,000 brands are (almost?) all Chinese, at least for TPE and silicone dolls. You said you're looking at WM, but if you broaden it to all Jinsan brands, there's quite a range of heads. Real Love Sex Dolls (RLSD) has, IMHO, one of the best sites in terms of presenting the products. See their heads page to see what's available. Some (like #56) can seem to transform from one ethnicity to another depending on skin tone, wig, and makeup. Others are more "fixed" in ethnicity. Also, note that some heads (and some bodies) are vendor-specific, although most of those on the SRSD site (and other vendors sites) are available from anybody who deals in a particular manufacturer's products.

For a 5'4" C-cup body, the closest I see from Jinsan is the 163cm C-cup. In fact, that's an exact match as far as those specs go, but you might prefer to deviate in one detail or another as you peruse the other offerings. Sometimes the overall body shape just does or does not appeal to you, despite whatever initial specs you want. Note that height comes from a combination of torso and leg length, so users sometimes consider vagina-to-mouth distance, which isn't often publicized.

Im very satisfied with my WM 155 dd cup. That said, my next purchase will probably not be a WM. Im looking for a nice thick booty with nice but smaller boobs. WM's 170 cm model is very tempting but I dont want more than 1 curvy sex machine in fear of my previous becoming redundant.
Kind regards,

Stevo
