Now, I have this image of viola in a dentist's chair in my head.blou2blou2 wrote:Wow Mandos, your viola is the most beautiful i've seen up to date, great pics! Do you know if a TPE doll requires more maintenance than a silicone doll? Is it more fragile? I'm interested by Viola but i don't have time to powder her skin and to give a bath each week. Thanks mandos

Re: New girl on the block - my Viola
Not having owned a silicone doll, only seen and touched one on display, I can not be sure. But TPE does have an amazing ability to draw dust to it that I don´t think silicone has, and that ability is greatly reduced when powdering it. If you ever had a masturbation sleeve, like a Fleshlight, it gets all sticky after a while - this is how the entire doll feels if you don´t powder it. A sticky doll also more in risk of getting tears from bedsheets and clothes. If you keep changing the dolls clothes all the time (like I do) it makes things worse, so if you buy a doll simply for bed activities in the nude I think you would get away with powdering less frequently. Also, my doll is pretty new so that may also be the reason I have to powder it more often. I am convinced that if you powder your doll more often you don´t have to give her a bath that often. I´ve only washed my doll once during her time with me, but she desperately needs one now as dust and small cotton particles from clothes are beginning to settle on her skin.blou2blou2 wrote:Wow Mandos, your viola is the most beautiful i've seen up to date, great pics! With that being said i don´t find powdering and bathing to be a hassle at all, but I was sceptical at first like you are. As many of our fellow doll owners I find it to be a soothing activity and the skin gets sooooo smooth it often leads to other fun activities, if you catch my drift

thank you very much you confirmed my thoughts. My husband had a fleshlight in the past so i know exactly what you're talking about. I take care of my dolls myself and i like to do it, but i'm not very strong, and i don't have so much time to powder and to wash, i am a mommy. It takes me hours to wash and to powder my pib. Fortunately i just have to do that once per month. Well i will think of it, thanks again, i appreciate your answermandos wrote:

No problem. I thought I was strong, but lifting a doll with the weight of a sandbag but with arms and legs has proven to be quite a challenge - so I can imagine how a PIB must be to move.blou2blou2 wrote: thank you very much you confirmed my thoughts. Re: New girl on the block - my Viola
Photos here seem to get better and better! WOW! This is wonderful.
Having not touched my PIB for a month, she's very sticky and has really appreciated baby powder. My DS girls aren't nearly so sticky - and they have the advantage that one can stand them in a shower which I find more manageable than a bath and lifting the heavy weight from low and horizontal. The new arrival TPE hasn't been sticky to date but her effect on a vinyl airmattress was disastrous so she is wrapped in her fleecy blanket and put back in her box to go up into the loft . . . or to anyone else who might enjoy her.
The PIB is flexible enough to move so that limbs can move out of the way, whereas the cheap TPE has fixed direction feet so that one can avoid them when carrying upright. One of my DS has feet that rotate from the knee and lower leg direction, so one can avoid them, but the other has feet that can rotate - so when one knocks them they get knocked into a position where one seems to knock them more.
Viola being shorter is probably significantly easier to move as her feet are nowhere near one's own when walking. . . .

This last image is from my cellar, where I just took some test images of her with a darker make up and pubic hair. More to come from that. I feel that different make up and some strategic hair placement makes this doll grow even more, as she looks more mature. I use cosmetic glue for glueing facial hair and other stuff to faces, and then I cut up some small strands from a wig - Voila!

Re: New girl on the block - my Viola
At any rate I love the looks of this body overall and the tan skin .
The only thing for me though is about the staining problem of dark colors , and also am hoping to see them create the white tan lines on a tan skin , I think they will do it in a matter of time , at least I am hoping so and I know others are to about any staining problems .
very beautiful doll and great photo pics ! I could very easily see this doll as a pin up model for what I would want and as my new artificial intelligence doll !
