Melissa's leg injury

Okay all... *deep breather*... So I cut into Melissa's leg along the seam to see what was going on with her dislocated knee. Good news is, from what I can see, nothing is broken. The cylinder nub that connects her knee to her shin bone(?) appears to be disconnected. So here's the bad news...I have no idea HOW to keep it connected! Tried popping it right in, and the nub goes right in the hole!....then immediately comes out and her leg once again dangles. The only thing I can think of is tightening or untightening the screws that are responsible for loosening her knee, and seeing if that somehow holds the two pieces together. However, I don't see how this works at all. Also, I noticed something scary....when I popped her knee back in place, there was a LOT of play from within the hole where I could wiggle her leg around. Moved her other leg and this did not happen. I'm worried the hole where her nub locks into is worn and "warped" so that it's now to large to hold the leg in place. Totally crying over my sweetie...if anyone knows about the inner workings of their love's skeleton..please share.

but also ask to the manufacturer directly, they must know how to resolve this sad issue.
