Re: Tips for a soon-to-be DS owner?
It's comforting to hear that these dolls can last years! I use a pretty similar drying system for my current inserts too. Important is to get a steady airflow inside the cavity.gonestill77 wrote:I would recommend DS dolls. I bought a used one, a 145+, about 3 years old. She has tight joints and man, even though she is 3 years old she is still nice and tight movement wise. Better than my first doll I bought new about a year and a half ago. And the insert is a snap to clean. I just use antibacterial hand soap and hot water. Then, I use an air mattress pump to dry and it only takes about 5 minutes to completely dry. No fuss no muss. See my doll drying thread in my signature. I am currently saving up for a DS 160+. Can't wait till i have the dough for her.
I'd like a 163/167 too but I thought that going with 145 first would be a good stepping stone. I think 20kg what I can currently handle in a way that makes everything from care to activities not be a massive pain in the butt.

And that hasn't teared the insert? My worry was that turning the insert inside out would stress it to the point of tearing.Karrot wrote:Must admit I just turn Xiaoli's insert inside out to clean and dry it.
