LoneRanger - I'm not sure the spirit of what you're saying but if being sarcastic it's possible that you're not really aware of the conditions of carriage of this doll and that you might not have read my response.

DS dolls do not normally arrive damaged and they are well built, well designed and difficult to break.

I sometimes wonder if you are on their payroll?? You always come to their defense no matter what the situation. All I can do is go on is personal experience and all of the "broken/damaged doll posts" here.

I am glad you have had such great luck with DS, but you live in Europe and your orders don't have an Ocean trip and brutal unionized shippers like we have in the good ole USA.

LoneRanger is alluding to the fact that multiple DS Minis purchased by forum members sustained damage during shipping around time of original launch of that product. An unfortunate circumstance for sure. That said, I agree with Harem: minus the exception noted above, DollSweet has a good track record of delivering well built dolls.

I am confident that we have a talented team of enthusiasts available here with excellent knowledge of DS repairs that can assist our new and distressed member. I've seen excellent advice, instructions, and results from JiaYi and Samara78 in particular. I sincerely hope we achieve a swift and satisfactory outcome for our unfortunate silicone damsel in distress. The poor dear is having a rough go of things. I hope she is fully repaired, treated well, and has a fulfilling doll life. I wish well for Boksoong as well.

No I am most certainly not on the payroll of DS.

The mini had problems and the reduced scale of the 145 causes fragility in sensitive areas. However I have experience of the big dolls and I have carried out surgery and found excellence inside. We you to have perused the book currently for sale through Doll House you'd see the extent to which these dolls are fit for the rigours of heavy modelling use. When you've experienced these dolls surviving the shocks of multiple falls one ends up impressed by their resilience and it is in knowledge of that that I enthuse and can confidentally recommend.

I recommend in good faith only what I know will bring pleasure and good experience to other enthusiasts.

Oh man that's not just a flesh wound. Luckily silicone is highly repairable and samara has a lot of experience with DS dolls. She'll help you through it.

The notion that DS dolls are prone to shipping damages worries me as I just pulled the trigger on one. Skin damages are very fixable but if the skeleton gets damaged, say, bent, not sure how that could be fixed.

This is a very rare event indeed. I don't think there is another report of shipping damage on DS dolls of full size reported ever on the forum. I'm sure you can order with confide. The troubles of shipping a doll like this through a smuggling route speak for themselves and this is a one off.

Chinese holidays will this week frustrate communication but I'm sure DS will want to help with the sending of any spare parts required.

For surgery it is better to lengthen a clean cut wound rather than let it tear and this wound will need to be lengthened to ascertain what might be required and to do the job.

When you put her back to resting position is there a gap in the foam? If not gluing her back up should be easy as harem said. If you have parts damage then you need to replace the part before resuming with repairs.

Not sure what country you are in, you don’t need to say, but some of the suggestions for repair materials may be hard to come by. Certainly filling a gap in the foam is important. There may have a gap in the foam during manufacturing, which would make sense, considering the dimple you photographed. There also could have been a delamination in the foam/silicone layers.
I have used Permatex flowable window sealent with great success. For both gluing the foam and the silicone. The silicone surface MUST be cleaned with acetone first. Acetone may dissolve the foam, so be careful.
The woound can be held together with cling film (like for storing food) or sewing pins can be used to hold the wound together until the Permatex sets (at least 24 hours). Be sure to have the doll in a resting position, one that allows the wound to be closed easily.

It is true that my first purchase from DS was received without issue and undamaged. She was so wonderful (Blossom) I had to have another.

This is were it all went to shit...

I am still waiting for an exploitation from "John " why my Jasmine was snatched by Customs and destroyed (2 other TDF members had the same thing happen)... I believe that she was a mule for some illicit thing the shipper did, DS fired the shipper. The UPS Recovery agent in Kentucky (I called everyone every where to no available) said that the shipper was sent a letter explaining why...no one shared it with me. There was some BS at the time that perhaps it was c****d porn, but that was never the case and since they are shipped here now without issues then it was never an issue.

So while I waited to see if I would get my doll or help from DS (never happened), I watched as Mini after mini started showing up damaged. Could it be that DS realized their custom DS Mini box that weighed as much as the doll was $$$ way more then they charged for shipping , so they switched to ultra light barely packed dolls. This is were all the damage really started (there was 1 occurrence of damage from the 1st group in the custom box but the pictures looked like the box was run over by a truck). DS started sending replacement dolls left and right, and people got multiple damaged dolls.

All I got was a run around, no true answer, disrespected and mistreated. Got a partial refund (should have sent me another doll!!!!). All inquiries ignored. I tried to buy a wig, bikini and stand. No! No! No!

I have a folder here with all documentation, names dates and occurrences. So if you want to know how true the so called DS Customer Service really is like when the chips are down...I have details up the wazoo...

Besides when you have the best Dolls in the world made in your own country then I am ashamed of buying for them in the 1st place. A 1,000 difference is nothing in the long run when you average out the life and quality of your Doll!!!

The 100cm DS mini was another matter from this one, a full size very adult very well engineered 167

The mini had an experimental plastic skeleton, not the same here, and the smaller chested child sized Eva, not the same here, was the target of customs officials who wanted to target what they thought were child dolls.

All 158, 160, 163 and 167 sizes are indisputably adult and there is no reason whatsoever for customs seizures of those other than in countries such as the OP here lives.

I understand the reason for your frustration, as we would all, but it isn't the set of circumstances that we read here were a well engineered doll has suffered damage on a smuggling route.

Furthermore, in this circumstance, it's very non-standard for the doll to have a built in vagina. This is a modification proposed by member Sate as a DIY modification rather than a factory production - which suggests that this doll had had a history via someone else between leaving the factory and arriving smuggled to the OP here.

On that basis implications of culpability of DS aren't appropriate bearing in mind the set of very out of the ordinary circumstances. People can order the standard large adult dolls through standard transport channels with confidence and support.

I'm sorry to read about your experience but in my experience and that of many others, their customer service has worked and worked well.

In the circumstances of this thread rather than others I'm sure DS will be likely to be happy to send whatever spare parts are necessary. They don't like injured dolls in circulation.

I have no personal experience with DS, but I know what you're saying. You can't judge Ford by the Pinto alone, but you can make certain reasonable assumptions based on how they handled the situation.
