Weighed the pros and cons... I think I need a DS doll!

Post by stacy718 »

Hey,

I am going to start a new art series with a doll this summer, and decided that DS doll is the best option for my needs. Elegant hands, easy to repair silicone, stands with a third point of contact, looks realistic, low price... etc.

So my question is, does anyone have the new Tyra face?

Please post photos of your 163 body!

I need some convincing on body choice... I have a 160 and she's great, but the extra height and small boobs really fit my project.

POST PICS OF TYRA! And your 163!!!!

The 163 size is a joy to pose and carry.

Ask DS to insert the screw thread into the leg bone at the heel and you'll be able to insert 50mm long bolts into the holes on which she can stand without deforming the foot.

Mishka uses an injection of Permatex silicone into the heels instead.

Best wishes

People here recommend DS163 even if I like DS158 first, I would definitely go DS163 just to stop myself from constantly scratching my head each time some recommend a slim doll.

Cheers,

This is awesome news, Stacy. I love your photography and I love the 163 (she has the most perfectly-sized and perfectly-shaped breasts of any doll out there, in my opinion, and they wonderfully complement her superb figure), so I can't wait to see what you're able to do with her.

Also, you might consider eventually rounding out your collection with a DS 145. She's petite, to be sure, but she's certainly capable of being a model.

Hi Stacy,
Here are some pics of Sasha, Jiayi and Alex, my DS168 (now 163) ladies. They are the 2013 and 2015 bodies, standard, not plus size. If I didn't have two 168's already, I'd get another one LOL.

The 163 dolls are very beautiful, I had a hard time deciding which doll to get when I got mine a while back, I couldn't make up my mind between the 158, 160, 163, 167 lol, finally I just went with what seemed the sexiest to me, but those 163's are really supermodels, they are very thin, and have a great figure, I look forward to your pictures when you get one. I have to buy a digital camera next time I go to an electronics store myself, I want to pose my doll and take pictures too, I love seeing everyone elses pictures it's amazing how great everyone's dolls look, and your older 163 looks great in those pics you posted :)

If for photography purposes only...
Like many others suggest, yes DS doll is the perfect model for those shoots.

Well as for Pros and Cons, I think there's more Pros than Cons. If you have read my reviews and the way I grade them based on experience, you'll see only tiny bit of cons.

The only cons would be the doll not being able to stand on her feet on her own without harming the heels.
The other cons would be not about the doll but the way they ship the doll.

You will get few to no problem but isn't it annoying to get your packages opened or arrived with a ding?

Yes, away from all of that, is all Pros.

DS is probably the only best Chinese doll manufacturer I have ever gotten. In comparison to other brand that is. As a collector, nothing feels life like and companion than DS Doll. Just my 1 cent as a dropped the other cent at the drainage hole.

Cheers,

Thanks everybody.

I've had a DS 160 for some time now, and she's still in excellent condition. I love the photos you posted, Jaiyi!

As for the feet damage that is possible, my older DS has one torn up ankle and the other is perfect and I've had her standing (in sneakers) for a month! Fortunately, DS doll is adding screws in each foot to avoid such damage.

I also have their male doll, Herman, on order! THAT, I'm REALLY looking forward to. Man dolls really expand the possibilities of my photography. I LOVED having a man doll (realdoll), and miss having one around.

Should be about a month for thevdolls to be completed.

I'm counting the days!

Hi Stacy,

You're very welcome! I also think of getting their Leo Male doll model as my first Son or the eldest, the brother to my entire daughters.
Right now, I'm starting small and will go towards the bigger dolls of DS. When I'm finally done with my wishlist on DS, I'll get myself a male doll.

Of course, it's not gay, it's for photography purpose xD

Cheers,

RJ

I also recommend the DS 163, she is durable, repairable, sexy, and a joy to photograph!

DS Dolls photograph very well - but I definitely think they can make improvements. A standing option would be hugely helpful. They need to get it so you don't have to be so delicate with the feet when standing her.

For all my photos, I hang her using the hanging kit. But of course that has its own limitations as well.

Standing is nice because it gives more realism and life to the doll. But I'm going to do more shots sitting and laying down in the future.
