DS 145 Plus - Handmade Outfit 1

Evening,

I'm starting my learning on making custom outfits for my doll, something I've always wanted to try but haven't had the time or money to get into. Now that the holidays are over thankfully I can get working.

The first outfit is a simple tube dress, made from stretchy white spandex and made to fit the doll's unique curves. A tube dress is a simple piece, since you only have to measure the thinnest area and make the entire length of it that size, in this case I just need to measure the waistline. The stretchy quality of the fabric will hug those curves tightly, showing off the 145 Plus' excellent body shape.

Thanks all for the comments.

I'm about 60% done with the next outfit, so far finishing the main body and arm details. I still have to add an accessory and the leg portion before putting up pictures, and it also needs one more piece that should be coming in the mail soon.

The second try is much nicer, and has given me a chance to experiment with sewing techniques and design. The next outfit is a big step up, pictures should be up next Tuesday or Wednesday.
