Well, Little Miss has been in surgery for the past few days getting her hip repair redone as it had developed a lot of play. I'll ip[date her hip repair thread a little later. Still, she's all better now and here's the proof for you to drool over.....er I mean assess for yourselves.......

New here. If I wanted to purchase a doll like Xiaoli, who is hands down the most amazing doll I have seen, how do I replicate this look? I know she's a DS Emily, but is there more I'd need to reference? Your doll is amazingly pretty. Forgive me if I'm asking this question the wrong way.

Greetings and welcome.
No harm in asking questions, especially not about such a lovely doll as Xiaoli.
In terms of mimicking her I guess you'd look to find a similar wig and then you're set ... purchase-wise.

Once you'd have her with you, the real challenge is not with her, but within yourself.

She will stun you for sure and look even more lovely than you'd imagine, but to let her come to life so to speak is within your imagination.
To make her pose like Xiaoli and take pictures even half as good as Karrots requires a lot of effort in learning various things and a corresponding state of mind.
So to sum it up, Karrot & Xiaoli are unique( and great

) but if you order alike you'll get your own chance to create something different yet similar.

Hi Longshot. To replicate the doll, you would need a DS160+, yellow skin tone. Emily head, Brown Eyes, Brown wavy wig. That will get you close. Xiaoli has also had custom work done by me for pubic hair and for her recent nipple recolour.

To replicate Xiaoli entirely you would additionally need a Karrot. As LDV and mi6c have said, Our girls are all unique because of what we put into them. Any member could take any other members doll and pose them and photo them, but you would see the difference in the pics. We each have our own style and view on how our girls are and that comes out in the photos we take and the impression our ladies make on those who view them.

For 'lifelike' photography you need to study, not just the photographic technicalities (which are the easy bit) but also real girls. You need to know how they move, how they balance, how hair falls, how they hold their heads, where fingers would or wouldnt go, and then you have to translate that in to what your doll can and cant do. You need to study the human body in its range and limits of movement so that you keep your girl within these limits (i.e. not turning her head to far to either side) and you need to pay attention to details like her eyes and errant strands of hair.

The one thing you absolutely must have to make her convincing is consistency.
