Lila's surgery has been successfully completed. She has another 5 hours of curing time left before she can unwrap her knee and be on her way. Lila has been very cooperative and patient during her multiple surgeries and is very happy that everything has gone well. After her wounds have been fully cured Lila will be getting a head to toe bath, a fresh head to toe powder massage and wrapped up in freshly laundered clothing.

Hiya All!
Von finished up my final surgery last night. I spent the night resting and this morning Von helped me so I could sit up and start getting ready to return to normal life again. Von says I have about another 5 hours before I can unwrap my knee and start walking. I feel pretty good ... a little woozy, but that should pass soon. I REALLY need a bath and powdering before I can feel like myself again ... hee hee hee.
Von says we are going to take it easy tonight ... said something about cooking up a nice dinner and cuddling up in front of the TV and watching a movie. I'm hoping for something a bit more fun and exciting after the movie is over. <hint><hint> <giggle><giggle> I MISS my Von!!!

By the way I can't wait to see Lila's leg repair thread. I'm sure it will be a great help if anyone has to go through that type of procedure.. Sorry for the long time between updates ... I had problems with my knee that Von had to work out. He had to rebuild my foam core around my knee since it got all torn up from my loose "bone" wiggling around inside. Plus Von ripped a bit of the foam layer when he was wrenching off my knee bolts ... <giggle><giggle> ... that sounded a bit naughty. I'm all healed now and ready to get back in front of the camera with my sister Nina ... YAY!!!

Have no fear sis ... I am all fixed up and better than new now! Von calls me "The Bionic Woman" ... <giggle><giggle>. Y'know what's kinda funny ... Von did his best for me while I was injured and sick and after he got me all healed and better, then HE gets sick! Well, not really sick, but a wee bit under the weather, like something was trying to make Von sick. He had to take a few days off of everything and get some much needed rest. So I took care of Von while he was down ... we switched places ... <giggle><giggle>.
Now we are all better and ready to start working in Nina's studio again!

Howdy Nova!
I wouldn't go as far as saying I was a "master doll doctor", but getting there ... THANKS!! It's gonna take me some time to put together a repair thread for Lila's surgery, but I think it will be worth the time and effort to document it. Could prove to be useful for someone in the future.
Ran into a few complications NOT covered in DS's repair video and had to wing it. Also found some things in DS's video that I tested and did not like the end results. Found better way/procedure that I think will last indefinitely ... I will note these deviations from DS's repair steps in my tutorial.
All in all, I am very satisfied with the results of Lila's surgery! She has very minor "scarring" that is almost indistinguishable from the original seam line. BONUS : Both left and right knee joints and ankle joints have same tension now!

Hey ... I'm all better now! My knee is a little sore, but I'm sure that will pass soon as I heal. Surgery was successful and I feel GREAT!!! Von took his time and made sure that I would never experience this type of injury ever again.
I want to thank everybody for their kind comments and support during my ordeal. You guys and gals ROCK!!!

Lila's surgery will be posted as a tutorial soon. Have many pics to go through and narrow down, crop, resize, etc. and write up step-by-step instructions ... this could take a while to put together ... hang in there!
For all that Lila has been through since she broke her leg, I have told her that she can have a custom tailored outfit made for her in any design or style she desires. You should have seen her eyes light up when I told her that. She had a smile from ear to ear and I could hear the gears buzzing in her head as she was thinking of what she wants to order. Stay tuned for more ...

Von wanted me to wear something loose fitting so he can take a full set of measurements of my body. Von said he's gonna order me and Nina some custom tailored outfits ... how cool!!! I can't wait to see what he has in mind! I hinted that I would really like something with an anime influence and Nina hinted she would just be overjoyed if she could have something steampunk influenced in style. We both have our fingers crossed for something cool. <giggle><giggle>
