As art, just as Tracey Emin's famous work said something about her state of mind at the time and low self-esteem these photos are a statement capable of debate. It's that perception of either artist or viewer or the state of mind that we impugn upon the subject which brings these photos from the status of sordid to that of art, an essay in dignity and objectification.
Interestingly the use of a doll brings into play an opportunity for the artist to create with the doll a statement which would not be possible with a live human model.
