This nut was actually off the bolt completely but it went on and did up fine with a 13mm spanner.
Superglue is recommended to stick the foam back together
and I added a bit more foam of the sort used for wrapping fruit
to pad out the sharp edges of the shoulder assembly
The foam was glued together and then the silicone:
On the last fall one of her elbows punctured the silicone
so I repaired this first before attending to the elbow.
The nut was easily found
and here if anyone wonders why silicone dolls are expensive, you can see the foam core and an inner silicone layer as well as the outer skin layer.
Moving to the knee joint
it's easy to cut at an angle below the skeleton
so another cut into the foam reveald the nut
which was tightened with a 13mm spanner
and the foam glued first
Other incisions were kept together with tape and clingfilm
and the second knee
was accessed via a more accurate incision
It was necessary to ensure that the two layers of silicone were properly glued
and when she came round and inspected
she was pleasantly surprised with the results
