For everyone who has trouble uploading pictures to the Doll Album, I've made an Instruction video.

It will show you how to login, create an album, then upload two pictures to that album.

It can be seen here:
I've tried to keep the filesize as small as possible for our dial-up members.

If you have trouble viewing the video, or prefer pictures instead, I've made the following How-To:

http://www.dollalbum.com/dollgallery/th ... album=1808
Check out Kayla's Christmas dress by clicking here. - December 17, 2015
or have a look at Ashley's Coverdoll release by clicking here - June 13, 2015

A must-see video on Realdoll softness! Click here!

:D Awesome! Thank-you very much! With my BTD due to arrive by month's end, the timing on your instruction video could not be better timed. Very appreciative!

AlexKnight,

Thank you for the Doll Album Instruction Video. This helps a lot!

I'm not familiar with the *.flv file extention. Is there a way to play this file while offline? I'm using Windows 98SE and Windows Media Player 9 on a dialup connection.

Thanks again for the video!

I have not been able to play the *.flv offline with the player from the photobucket site, but I can give a step-by-step recipe to play the video offline with the player from Jeroen Wijering.

The steps are:

1) create a new empty folder somewhere in your hard drive

2) inside the folder download the *.flv video file itself.
You should be able to click this link:

http://vid88.photobucket.com/albums/k17 ... mHowTo.flv

and then the browser should ask you where to store that file.
(If the browser tries to show the file "inline", then try to
choose "File > Save page as ..." from the main menu to save the file.)

You now should have a file "DollAlbumHowTo.flv" in that folder.

3) Download the JW flash video player from here:

http://www.jeroenwijering.com/?about=JW ... dia_Player

(click that "Download the Player now" button ... I guess
your purpose is "noncommercial", so no licence issues here ;)

This should download another 800K file, sorry.

Store the mediaplayer-3-16.zip file somewhere on the local computer
(not necessarily in that folder from step 1)

4) From that zip file copy over the following files in the folder
from step 1)

- mediaplayer.swf
- swfobject.js

5) Now the icky part: start some plain text editor like wordpad
and create a file with name "index.htm" and the following contents:

<html><body>
<div id="container">This should show the video now.</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var width = "750";
var height = "600";

var s1 = new SWFObject("mediaplayer.swf","mediaplayer",width, height, "8");
s1.addParam("allowfullscreen","true");
s1.addVariable("width",width);
s1.addVariable("height",height);
s1.addVariable("file","DollAlbumHowTo.flv");
s1.write("container");
</script>
</body></html>

(This is the HTML which JW recommends to play videos in the README,
I did not made this up).

6) Final check: You now should have four files in that folder:
- DollAlbumHowTo.flv
- index.htm
- mediaplayer.swf
- swfobject.js

Open the "index.htm" file in a browser (most probably by double clicking it)
This should start the instruction video, stand alone and offline!

I have only tested this with my Linux laptop and some Mozilla/Firefox browser. It should with Windows, too ... so I hope this helps.

Gallery titles

Post by Everhard »

When you create a doll forum gallery title, include the manufacturer, body type, head/face type, year (and possibly month) of production. Anyone who sees one of your photos can also see that vital information without having to search for it. For example, see the individual album titles of my doll forum albums.

Hello. I could use some assistance with the Doll Album. I was following the instructions on how to create an album and upload pictures, when I got stopped at the first step.

-I clicked on [Login] and entered my TDF username and passsword.
-I got the message, "Couldn't login. Please Try again."
-So, I tried the login again and the got the same message.
-So I tried again and got the same message
-After repeating the cycle for about 10 times, now I get the message, "You are currently banned from using this site."

Really? I get a message that repeatedly tells me to 'try again' and when I do, I get banned? :roll: What can be done to correct both this banned issue and the login issue?

You have to sign up for a Doll Album account first.

Thank you for that information, RaDiv. I have gone through the registration process and am now just waiting for the email. I know that I have had a album on this site before, but that was many years ago, and my profile must have been removed.

You're welcome :D

If no activity (album without pics) your album is deleted after 6 months.

Everhard (and/or enclined to advice),
Would I have to re-load pics to separate them by photo shoot now? I could not figure out how to separate them and ended up just loading them, and as a result they are bunched up as you all can see. Dont like it. May I get a little advice on how to correct this?

Dave: you can create new albums, one for each shoot if you want to. Just click the "create/order my albums" button.

Then you choose the "edit files" button and choose which album you want to place each picture in, in the drop down menu.

:? Created albums for diferent out takes, but something is not right 8O

When I make a search for Valerie; All I get is the initial album w/ head shots in it now :?

A little more help? :oops:

Why are they not together?
How do I correct this, so when opened, they are all on same page? (w/ various titles)
If going thru random pics in album I hapen to see mine, then they are in selection ( :?: )

When 'dave7311' is typed in search (owner) I get the disaster I had before and nothing organized.
:?

In order to use the search function you have to type in a keyword. You can do that on both albums and pictures.

For keywords on albums click the "properties" button beside the album thumbnail and the "edit files" button for keywords on pictures.
