Shelby's Photo Timeline

Hi Everyone,

Until now I've been haphazardly starting new threads every time Shelby took some new photos, but LaDollyVita clued me in about using a Timeline to keep everything organized and easier to find. So starting today whenever we have something new to post this is where you'll find it, unless there is a specific reason to put it somewhere else. I'll add links to the earlier threads for Shelby , but this is from some photos we took this morning in Shelby's LBD.

Don't worry - it turns out Shelby is a ham and loves having her picture taken - as long as she feels she is ready and looking 'just right' - and when I've got a subject like this I just can't put the camera down, so I'll probably begin to bore people to death with all the photos!

Besides, after getting a few other chores done Shelby came out to the kitchen where I was getting ready to make meatballs and sausage to go with pasta tonight and wanted to help... but when I saw how cute she looked we had to delay slightly to get a few shots of her. I learned two things: having her in the kitchen with me is a lot of fun, and leave a LOT of extra time to get things done, since it was impossible to pass up opportunities to kiss and touch whenever we passed each other or got close! Shelby decided to brown the sausages so she wouldn't get her hands all sticky from rolling meatballs!

This is a mistake

Me and Emma has done that numerous times. It always ends up with very overcooked food

Now, my compliments to Shelby, she is adorable

. I noticed her first time in Emma's classy sexy thread and wondered why I haven't noticed her before. I just read in your other thread she is only one week old. So I believe congratulations are in order

Looking forward to seeing more of Shelby soon!

She certainly is the pretty little housewife!

I'm glad that when she began cooking, she asked for the "sausages" rather than the "sausage."

If my doll asked for the sausage I might give her the wrong one.

But hopefully she wouldn't put it in the frying pan!

Hi briwri01.
It's great that your are starting a timeline for Shelby. She's a cutie and deserves it.
A timeline is the best way to organise your posts.

I started a timeline hybrid for Daria almost two years ago and it the best idea I've ever had.
I call it a timeline hybrid because it combines the best features of individual posts with the best features of one big timeline post.

I have several problems with traditional posting.
1) I want to post entries where the subject reflects the contents - Eg Daria's Pillow Fight.
2) I don't want posts to get lost forever in the flood of other posts.
3) I don't want to use one big post that stores everything because it gets way too large, plus the subject does not reflect the current entry.

The timeline hybrid solves these problems.

I post a new topic about our latest project - Eg Daria's Blade Runner Dream.
After a few days I add an entry about the topic to Daria's timeline with a link to the original topic. That way, anyone who missed the original posting, gets another chance to see it.
As the timeline evolves, it then becomes an index to all the earlier posts. If anyone is interested in what Daria has done, they can read the entire timeline.

I'm actually surprised more people haven't picked up on the idea.
I even wrote a topic about it early in 2016 - The Advantages of a Doll Timeline

Hi Scooter!

Thanks for the insight on hybrid time lines. I actually haven't kept up with this thread because after talking with Jeff at BCD it seemed a better idea to post "The Life and Times of Shelby" under the BCD section since that's where she is from, and that's the one I have been updating with new things since I stopped adding things here. I think the best and easiest (except for the webmaster I guess!) thing would be if, once we started a thread, we could simply add new sub-topics to that thread without starting a new one. That way any one section wouldn't become too cumbersome, yet all the different sub-topics would be readily available in outline format. I'm sure as I get more and more familiar with how things work here and what can and cannot be done I'll keep adapting and shifting so it works better.

by posting to the BCD area you eliminate a lot of viewers because only people that have those dolls or want one will be looking there.
ashakis thread is the same way i never knew she had one until she mentioned it on another thread. if you post in the eye candy, dolls alive or dolls in general areas you get a lot more viewers.
