Review of Cobra Libre

I recently bought a Cobra Libre. It is a male masturbator that stimulates the top of your penis. I wanted to share my experiences with this toy.

As you might have noticed, I own(ed) a couple of Fleshlights. They were my first sextoys ever. I liked them a lot. They are very soft and the Fleshlight girls inserts are nice to look at, but it is not very easy to clean them. Drying them is even harder.
Some time ago I purchased (and sold again) a Fuck me silly 2. I found it to big for a masturbator, but is was great playing with it. It felt better than the fleshlights.

Last week I somehow ran into the Cobra Libre. After reading some reviews I decided to buy it. I payed € 75,- including shipping. It arrived last weekend in a plain box. In the box was the toy, a charger and some lube. At some shops the charger won't be included and you will have to buy it seperately. Some shops offer the toy with the charger for free. So it doesn't hurt to have some research on this.

When I unpacked the Cobra Libre, my first thought was that it looks like a car. It looks very nice. Mine is red and black like this one:
Image
At one end of the toy is a sillicone insert which reminds me of a mouth. Inside it gets a bit narrower and there is some kind of ridge at the lower side. Looks a lot like a tongue but it doesn't move. On top of the toy are 3 touch sensitive buttons. They are very easy activated, by accident as well.

After putting some lube inside the toy, you turn it on and put your penis inside it. To me, the toy fits well and doesn't feel tight. If your member is bigger than mine, there should be no problem. The upper side of the sillicone is very stretchy. The upper side of the sillicone should face towards you when you insert.
You don't have to move the toy up and down like you would with a fleshlight. Just hold it, but not too tight. When the toy is turned on, it starts vibrating at a slow speed. With the + button, the strength and speed of the vibration is increased. And with the - button it is decreased. It is up to you to select a nice vibration strength. If you push the + button again when the device is allready set to its strongest vibration, you will activate different vibration patterns. And boy, these are great :multi: . I like the one where the vibration is weak and slowly, starts to get stronger and than fade away to start all over again. There are several kinds of patterns and you just have to feel whats best for you. To me, the patterns feel very close to a blowjob. Especially if you warm the sillicone with some hot water before using it.

The vibrations are best felt if you hold the toy losely over your penis. Don't push your penis too hard inside. It will weaken the vibrations and they are harder to be felt. The toy provides a tickling sensation at the top of the penis (what's that in English?) when vibrating. Combined with the patterns, it just feels like a real tongue or hand is moving up and down. I had an orgasm within minutes. It felt a lot better than my fleshlights and fuck me silly 2.

Cleaning is very very easy since the hole is not very deep. The toy is waterproof so using and cleaning in bath or shower is no problem. I dried it with a towel and found no difficulties in reaching a spot.

As I allready mentioned, mine came with a charger. It is a magnetic charger, so you just have to click it to the toy. Be aware that not all shops provide the charger for free.

So I can recomment this wonderfull toy to you all. If there is anything else you would like to know, please ask me.

Better then a fleshlight or fms is a huge endorsement. Sounds like a great toy; Thanks!

I think it is because of the fact I don't have to do a thing. Just turn it on, lay back and enjoy.

So how is it holding up? Is it still working and doing the job? Or did it break or is it no longer getting you off because the novelty wore off?

I don't have much of a sex toy budget, so I'm always hesitant when things cost this much...

I always thought they should have a decent vibrator for men.

Excellent review. I shall myself look around for one. Would prefer not to have to order across borders ;)

Hi all,

I am still enjoying this toy. Although I haven't used it much lately. What can I say after only using it for 4 times?

The only problem with this toy to me is that there's no visual stimulation. At that point a fleshlight or other artificial vagina has much more visual stimulation. So I am not sure about keeping it.

Pro's:
- great stimulation
- many vibration patterns
- powerfull vibrations
- strong battery
- very easy cleaning
- very silent when turned on
- waterproof

Cons:
- no nice looking female body part
- only the head of the cock gets stimulation
- can't be used while charging

I've also owned this and found it gave great sensations but is slightly different from other toys in that it doesn't really simulate sex as much and you may need additional help to reach the finish line

I purchased one of these things last October. When it's good it's very very good, but when it's bad, it's horrid. I do for the most part enjoy the sex toy.

After 6 months with one of these toys I have arrived at several conclusions...

a) anyone living in an apartment building can expect all their neighbours to know about their new sex toy
My wife and I have separate rooms and tend to snuggle in each other's beds during early morning hours after a good sleep, something not uncommon for us more elderly folk ;) Being a personal item I considered the presence of my new electric sex toy as on "a need to know basis' and did not tell my wife about my purchase. I set the unit on the hardwood floor at the head of my bed with the magnetic charger lead attached. At approximately 2am my wife and I were awakened by a loud bumping and buzzing sound. My wife came running into my room in quite an anxious state as I, still half asleep, was trying to comprehend what was happening. Perhaps on a carpeted floor it might have been more subdued. Regardless, my wife was now privy to my new personal vibrator, and I suffered no more that a little humility from my wife's laughing and wise cracks.

Last night, my wife (on the main floor) called me in my studio in the basement to ask what the noise was. As I came up the stairs I again heard a buzzing sound...much more subdued than the first time to the point my wife was looking around the kitchen trying to identify the sound. I had put the unit in my dresser drawer to charge this time, hoping if there was a problem the socks might help to muffle the sound. Apparently not enough. Once again I had to tend to my self starting sex toy amidst a comic remarks from my wife. This is twice that the unit while charging has started on its own.

b) Controls are too sensitive.
In between the two above incidents I also found it distressing to learn that the unit with its touch sensitive control buttons gives little room to maneuver it without changing the speed or setting. There appears to be no lock procedure to prevent unintentional change of settings, which I have found to be mostly slowing down until it is nearly stopped.

c) The unit will not necessarily stop functioning with the push of the off button
I also discovered (before the self start incident and my wife knowing about my vibrator) that the unit will sometimes not turn off no matter how long you hold the off button. While I was busy servicing myself one evening, I heard my wife ascending the stairs. Not being one who feels comfortable masturbating in front of anyone...including my wife, and my toy still being a secret, I pushed and held the stop button...but the unit just kept going. I was getting a little frantic and tried to hide the unit under a pillow in hopes that it might muffle the sound, but anyone in the room would have heard it. Fortunately for me, and my self esteem, my wife continued on to the bathroom, at which point I frantically pushed the off button again to no effect. I then tried attaching the magnetic charger adapter, which did cause the unit to turn off. This became a standard tactic in future usage. I always had the charger plugged in and near. I had to use this method of shutting the Cobra down on several future occasions.

They call vibrators, personal vibrators because they are supposed to be personal and not broadcast themselves to your family and neighbours.

It would have been great as an insert for my Teddy Babe for Girl on Top positions, but touch sensitive buttons kept touching the walls of the doll, and slowed it down to barely noticable :(

One plus of the unit is its ability to immerse in water. But I really don't use it to replace my rubber duck in the bathtub. I just want a male masterbator that turns on and off when I want it to, and holds whatever setting I use until I change it.

I have been looking at a possible (R1 & A10 with attachments) on the ToyDemon website.

Has anyone had any experience with this toy? Regardless, if I order one, I will definitely post a review on it ;)

The R1 - A10 and controler are about $180 at Toy Demon and you need the controller for it to work.
To me that rather expensive and I have no idea how much the shipping would be.

Thanks. They have a nice special. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with one and wants to share.

I purchased one of these last week. I am very disappointed. The battery was charged for the full 12 hours and the light was off when I checked on it (that means it is fully charged). The battery lasted about 30 minutes and at the brink of..... when all of a sudden, the cobra libre went to low speed on its own and finally stopped working. I thought it may be a fluke. It took another 12 hours to fully charge and then the same thing. I don't know about all of you, but it takes longer than 20 or 30 minutes for me to finish. I've tried it every day since and it does the same thing. I wrote to the manufacturer and have heard nothing back. I wrote to the company that sold it and have heard nothing from them. My opinion? Don't waste your money.
