If she's coming up a few cm short, this could easily be because it's quite hard to adjust the legs, knees, neck shoulders and hips so they all line up together to maximize the height, typically having the hips tilted slightly can do this and it's hard to notice.

If you can use food wrap to wrap around the injury and apply pressure to draw the edges together, then there is a chance you can use silpoxy as a bonding agent and not a filler as you might fear.

I'm holding back my next doll purchase to see if they can get this right.

Perhaps they will send you a set of white plastic bolts for the feet too, as I've seen for SLE as I expect these are less likely to cause damage to the silicone and other surfaces.
