Re: New doll stand

Different tubing can be used. Instead of using length different tubes - could you use one larger diameter tube for the base with a smaller diameter tube inside to be able adjust telescopically with a lock to the perfect high for any size doll. Just a thought to add to a already great idea. You coul...

Re: Racquel | WM162-E #336 #008 | And so it begins

I'm so glad Valeri , my WM162E with the 336 head is laying next to me right now because if she wasn't - she would have some explaining to do. Amazing photos and outfit choices.

Re: My Heavy Doll Problem Solved?

I was thinking about how to make this lift so it comes apart for storage after the thought was put into my head. Well I came up with a wood metal highbred that would cost some more by making the base and the top out of 2 X 4's and use 10 flanges and 5 six foot steel 3/4 pipes (that might need to be ...

Re: My Heavy Doll Problem Solved?

Have you considered making a version from pvc pipe? Or giving it the potential to fold up for storage? I never thought about pvc pipe, but I think it would to flexible and I can't think of a way to put all of the pieces together. I did look at 3/4 steel pipe with all of the connectors I would have ...

Re: Has anyone made effective use of cranes/lifting equipmen

So I made this with seven 2X4's, a winch, and caster wheels for like $70 if you are still interested. You can move it back and forth with the beam above the bed and maybe get or make a strap around the waste to position body horizontally. Or set up the position you want then lay the body down on bed...

Re: My Heavy Doll Problem Solved?

I figured out my camera settings and hope these new pictures explain more. I have no idea on how to rotate pictures correctly, but the last picture is the small closet door I have. Not bad for screwing $70 worth of stuff together to make a pulley lift crane hoist storage system and have it work. Now...

Re: Heavy Doll Solve?

Good work, looks very sturdy. It reminds me of a similar lift I saw several years ago here on TDF. Member m78 build a lift for his doll: Marilou Lift - DDC compatible doll stand In regards to the picture size, please downscale them. That can be done with every photo software. Even MS Paint is capab...

Re: Heavy Doll Solve?

Lol just get a punching bag stand, then put wheels on it. Then hang a rope pulley on the hook. I looked at a punching bag stands but you have to control the weigh front and back, so it don't topple over. Plus they are way to wide that it would not fit into my bathroom or closet so at was not that s...

Re: Heavy Doll Solve?

So back to the drawing board I went with some more nerve medicine and I built this and it works. I am so happy with how good it works and now I am able to move her around the house and to the bathroom tub to wash her. It also makes it easy to dress her and I can also hang 2 more doll for storage rea...

Re: Heavy Doll Solve?

So I searched the internet and got some more ideas with hours of wondering around Harbor Freight and Lowes and I built my creation that worked amazing at lifting my WM162E doll with one hand, but I had trouble moving her around on the padded carpet floor. This is what I made.

My Heavy Doll Problem Solved?

So a few weeks ago I received a WM162E and by the time I got her unboxed, washed, and dress realizing how much heavier she was than my 6YE150D. I was in so much pain that I used some highly advanced sciatic nerve medicine and laid next to Valeri thinking about what I am gonna do about her weight. I ...

Re: Has anyone made effective use of cranes/lifting equipmen

I wish someone would build something like this based of a counterbalance crane in the in pictures, but not with the $5000 price tag or the 2000 pound capacity. This would make it easy to place in shower to wash, help with dressing, and getting out of bed. I might try to build it out of 2x4's and a l...

Re: Poll from Realdoll: What would make you a customer?

I really think weight should be on that list because that would be my pick with my back. And I'm not sure if it's me or my tablet, but after just spending sometime on your website - it hard to navigate and photos don't show very well.

Stupid Coverdoll question

When you go to Coverdoll site - is it suppose to open up like a magazine? It's just when I try on my tablet that it doesn't work that way.
