Re: My first fabric doll

Very nice work. When I was still making dolls (married now), I used either cosmetology styling heads (hair already attached) or foam head wig stands with a plastic face overlay. Plenty to find on eBay.

Re: Skeleton

Might be easier to get wood ball knobs (cabinet pulls) from hardware stores or on line. They already have a hole drilled into them. Don't forget the Q-angle (quadriceps): Women's femurs tilt inward 15 deg. Gluing the PVC is unnecessary. Put a wood screw through the sections where joined. This will b...

Re: Black Rubber for Ultra-Strong body

A suit like that (from ActiveWear4U) is what I put over the wetsuit. https://www.activewear4u.com sounds all very interesting . although not made really strong and durable , i had always though someone getting a full body latex suite would be the best thing to make a blow up or fiber filled doll. an...

Re: Silicone body suit - best stuffing material to use?

Looking at the price, it might be easier to buy a decent second-hand doll here.

Re: Silicone body suit - best stuffing material to use?

I built a PVC skeleton with Spider Hill (https://www.spiderhillpropworks.com/PVC-Fittings_c_8.html) for joints. Put pool noodles over the PVC, then polyfill from Wal-Mart to build up musculature. One thing to watch for is the Q-angle (https://www.physio-pedia.com/%27Q%27_Angle), which describes the ...

Re: Black Rubber for Ultra-Strong body

What I used (before I got married and had a reason to toss the DIY dolls) was a lady's diving wet suit.

Re: modifying an inflatable love doll

How did you modify the wet suit ? Only a cut in the crotch to accommodate a Fleshlight or other insert. Breasts (silicone forms with straps) were glued (It Stays glycerine) to the zentai-type body suit that covered the wet suit. I'm about to experiment with Velcro on the wet suit and inside the zen...

Re: modifying an inflatable love doll

Nice work -- a lot like what I've done in the past building with pool noodles and a wet suit.

And what is the insert like? Can it easily be replaced with other materials (fabrics, etc.)?

Re: CPR and medical or dental dummies and heads?Any thoughts

Perhaps because Resusci Anne is based on the face of a woman who drowned in the Seine in the late 1880s.

I tried adapting one, but it didn't quite work (not that I'm all that skilled).

Re: Study topic: Making a large ball joint type love doll.

On the Roxy jointed mannequin: Suggest a lady's wetsuit first, then a Zentai suit. The wetsuit will provide a softer skin and let you fill the joints with a bit of padding. Pity the legs are not as articulated as the shoulders.
