Depending on chemical compatibility, a swim cap might be a good bet. I used this on a different type of full-sized doll and the doll can be held upside-down and the wig will not budge. The other alternative is to add some stitching to the wig itself to cinch it tighter around the doll's head.

I use doll armature. It’s similar to Loc Line. It only takes one special tool an x an y connectors. For full scale dolls, I cut a pool noodle to simulate long bones and the spine over the armature.

Very nice photos! I love to do outdoor shots more than anything! You are braver than I am. I would be scared to death to leave a dolly on the bridge to take a photo from a distance. It certainly made a great photo session. Very nice.

Try chalk pastels, you will find them in any arts supply store in a huge variety of colors. If the material is safe for oil based products, you can also use oil pastels. They commonly are available in sticks but some are disks like powder makeup.

She looks really nice. Her face is a much more pleasant sculpt than I would have expected. Any of the inflatables, IMHO, look really great when they have hands and feet like that and they can wear shoes too! Congrats on your doll, and the photos really do show her off well.

I think I will do this at some point with a vinyl doll. I will also add a pvc armature and likely a zipper in the back so access to add stuffing or adjust the armature will be easier to do. I'm only in the planning phase now, but I will make sure to share the experiment when I am ready.
