Re: Big Girls Rule !

Wow, that looks like a great idea. Maybe slightly larger castors for carpet? I have what is probably a dumb Q, but where would one get the square steel tube like that and how did you bend the ends of the shorter piece?. Did you have a proper tube bending jig like custom bike shops have or did you i...

Re: Big Girls Rule !

Hi Tufgngbob I've been using the below stand for over a year now which I built with basic DIY tools and materials from the local hardware store. The stand works great on hard floors and should be ok for carpet too. Our body D lives on this stand and is stored in the closet when not being used. :thum...

Re: Powdering Problems

Just to add further to this I emailed Abyss about my concerns and how to remove the powder. They told me the doll will be fine and recommended to wash the doll with warm water with soap by hand only and to repeat every 2-3 days. I tried it today and it is starting to show some promise. Thanks again ...

Re: Powdering Problems

I have no problems with it I have my Chrissy in bed with me all the time. Great thanks again :D I see. In fact I do use regular baby powder, so I'll put the 'Zinc Oxide' added stuff on my 'things to avoid' list. Thanks for the heads up! Acetone maybe? No worries I hope no-one else makes t...

Re: Powdering Problems

I find excess powder fades away over a day or 2 with normal use. Normal use in my case is: dressing her, undressing, sleeping in bed with her, frequent touching. Or sex of course. Unless you want to do a photo shoot I wouldn't worry about it. Or if she just hangs for storage you might want to find ...

Re: Powdering Problems

powder the doll with a 'base' makeup powder that comes in different colors. I always use 'covergirl' fair colored foundation powder instead of baby powder. Lots more expensive but matches skin color Try removing the excess with either a soft cloth or a paintbrush like one that is used for door and ...

Powdering Problems

Hi I just recently powdered Our Brooklyn (RD2, 2014 model) using baby powder with zinc oxide , I didn't like the way it look afterwards and attempted to wash it away with the normal method. However after a couple of washes the powder really hasn't shifted much and the entire doll is looking rather p...

Re: Any tips on drying without turning inside out?

I tried the chopsticks with the sponge, but I found it very hard to push the sponge into the sleeve, once I did manage to it didn't seem to dry it very well, and the chopstick ended up ripping through the sponge. I was worried that because the chopstick had ripped through that it could cause damage...

Re: Do RealDolls Need To Be Powdered / Do They Ooze Oil?

Yes our doll (RD2 2014) seems to ooze a slight amount of oil particularly from the soles of her feet its noticeable when she is placed on hard surfaces which can make our floors really slippery.

Re: Tangle Teezer

Great to hear this repost has been a benefit :D :D Thank you. I missed AK's post, so this post works for me. It helps to spread the word about good items. True; also, it's been upgraded. It looks smaller, more ergonomic, and has what looks like a grip strip? While mine is still in great shape, I'd l...

Re: Tangle Teezer

I've been using the Tangle Teezer (although a different model) for quite a while to brush my dolls' wigs, and it's definitely great!! I started a thread about it here: http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=100&t=45308 Gee it was right there in front of me wasn't it, I thought I had stumble...

Re: Any tips on drying without turning inside out?

Hi I made a few of these D.I.Y drying wands ( see below) with a couple of plastic chopsticks and car cleaning sponge which I used hot glue to stick together. After cleaning I insert the first wand gentle in the sleeve and squeeze the sponge (from the outside) as I dry up and down the sleeve. I then ...
