What a good idea to use these inexpensive inflatables just for the hands, feet and head parts. I find the hands and feet tedious to make for textile dolls so it's probably why I mostly make torsos without limbs.

Very nicely done. And when you don't need to move the dolls around, just take everything apart by unscrewing and unbolting the doll lift.

Thx for the tested recipe. I'm going to order the Propylene Glycol on Ebay and give it a try. As for the Xanthan gum, I think you meant teaspoon, not teacup. Come to think about it a cup of tea would be nice about now.

Glycerin is the lubricant while Xanthum gum thickens the mixture. However, whatever water based lubricant that you like and that it's harmful to TPE or Silicone should do the trick.

That must be why Realbotix did both a life cast and 3D of Whitney which you can see on the Netflix performance.

After looking at Whitney's performance and her beautiful doll, it definitely looks like some stock body was used as it is shorter than the comedian. However, she shows some clips at the end of the performance how they made the head with her likeness.

I buy my ingredients inexpensively off of Ebay. Look for food grade vegetable Glycerin oil and Xanthan Gum, and you will be happy.

I also make my own lube inexpensively out of food grade Glycerin, Xanthan Gum and water. Do not add all the ingredients at once. I would carefully cut around the bottom of the neck with a sharp Knife and then use a hacksaw to cut the metal. I think an angle grinder would heat the metal up too much and melt the tpe. Best of luck.

Is it expensive to have parts made by Shapeways? I noticed that they have an instant quote page where you can upload your design for a price. I haven't personally designed or 3d printed anything before, but your posts have made me interested in trying it out some time.
