They usually have the styrofoam heads at beauty supply shops for under $10.

Hobby Lobby carries various sizes and shapes of styrofoam balls. Other hobby supply stores may carry them as well. What about partially inflated vinyl beach balls? You could get a custom fit with those.

I meant to state that the skeleton needs to be made of a material that conducts electricity in order to be used as a chassis ground. Also, in addition to etching a circuit board type conduit on the skeleton, you could run leads the length of the skeleton with contact points to connect the electronic...

If I could make a suggestion to the back support. I read the earlier posts where the doll will tend to swing on the caster-mounted platform. One solution would be to put a belt loop on the back support and use a nice accessory belt as a restraint. To the viewer, it would look like an ordinary access...
